Even all the hairs of your head are counted

For many, many days and maybe a few weeks now, I could not feel God during my personal prayer times. But I know He has not abandoned me for He continues to answer so many of my prayers. Beyond my expectations even.

It just came as a surprise that He would speak to me through a future Gospel, a message that should only be delivered to His people on June 21, Sunday, which happens to be Father's Day too.

What an awesome Father God we have! He who was and He is. He speaks when you need Him the most.

This all happened while working on the newspaper and reformatting / re-reading the Gospel for the Opinion Page of the newspaper I work for.

The Gospel reads:

Jesus said to the Twelve: “Fear no one. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.

What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.

And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted.

So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.

But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.”

(Matthew 10:26-33)

Even all the hairs of your head are counted. Amazing!

My God is an awesome God. What an assurance! There is no need to worry, be anxious or afraid of what today or the future might hold. God is in control.

God knows me and my every need, all of my pleas, hurts and pains. He knows me inside-out, outside-in. Amazing!
