It was an event for Isabel, Leyte students but PASARians were invited given they are able to wake up at 3am in the morning because that was, accordingly, when all the amazing “astronomical things” happened in the sky.
Not an astronomy buff but was nonetheless fascinated with the night skies and all that came with it — the stars, the moon and stray comets (shooting stars).
So I woke up, walked from our staffhouse to the LLCI school where the telescope was positioned; and true enough, the skies did not disappoint.
Using an old Samsung phone, our “astronomy expert” taught us how to capture the moon through his huge telescope; and voila, this photo was the result.
No filter. No mambo-jambo. Just our magnificent moon.
And for a year or two, this photo became my office PC’s wallpaper and again today, I am sharing this photo with Psalm 19:1 to accompany it.
Because up to this day, I am still in awe God of your faithfulness — how you orchestrated everything in my life so you could gain me and I gain you.
Then, now and forevermore... “the heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
