You had to shed almost all of your leaves but with tender-care and loving-kindness from me, you “bloomed” again. All dead leaves replaced with fresh, new ones.
You make me so happy little plant.
Like the Christian life I committed to take, the “old self” had to die for the “new self” to “sprout” — for the gifts of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control) to manifest and witness to the world.
It is no easy journey this path I chose to take. But God’s mercy is new every morning and that is all I really need — really.
